A 38-year-old homemaker, Temitayo Adefioye, was presented before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan on Thursday for allegedly threatening to take the life of her estranged spouse.

Adefioye, whose residence was not disclosed, faces charges of assault, threats to life, and conduct likely to disturb the peace.

The Prosecution Counsel, Insp. Olagoke Adegbenro, informed the court that the accused perpetrated the offense on August 13, in Badeku, Ibadan.

He claimed that the accused enlisted individuals to assault Mr. Akintomide Oladotun, her former spouse.

Adegbenro further asserted that the accused had also introduced acid and petrol into Oladotun’s premises with the intent of causing him harm.

He stated that Adefioye behaved in a manner likely to disrupt public order by sending various threatening communications to her ex-husband.

He indicated that the charges violated Sections 351, 86, and 249(d) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
