The Convener of the Asejere Progressive Movement and Lisa of the Osooro Kingdom, Chief Dele Omosehin, has implored Nigerians to unite in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reform initiatives through prayer, patience, and a patriotic commitment.
In a declaration issued to commemorate Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary, Omosehin characterized the Tinubu administration’s reforms as initiating a transformation across various sectors of the economy. He labeled the occasion as a moment for introspection and renewed commitment to unity, peace, and development.
“Every reform entails its sacrifices, but there will be illumination at the conclusion of the journey. What our nation requires at this moment is not hopelessness, but prayer, support, and the readiness of every Nigerian to contribute their part to the advancement of our country,” Omosehin stated.
He underscored that patriotism and collaborative effort are vital to nation-building. “We do not need to delay until we can empower everyone. The modest contributions we make for our neighbors, our communities, and our states will collectively transform Nigeria,” he remarked.
In commending President Tinubu’s reforms, Chief Omosehin praised the increase in allocations to states and urged citizens to assist their governors in directing these resources toward initiatives that directly enhance the lives of everyday Nigerians.
Omosehin also offered prayers for unity, peace, and prosperity throughout the nation, reaffirming his dedication to grassroots empowerment through initiatives focused on youth and women. He emphasized programs such as a training collaboration with Bimbeads Concepts aimed at equipping women and girls in Okitipupa and Irele with skills in jewelry-making, mentorship, and access to markets.
He further mentioned the forthcoming BOF Unity Cup, scheduled for January 4, as an endeavor to promote peace, unity, and talent development among youth. “When young individuals are positively engaged—through skills, sports, or opportunities—they become productive catalysts for national growth,” he observed.
Chief Omosehin concluded by asserting that with faith in God, support for President Tinubu’s vision, and a collective commitment to progress, Nigeria will realize its full potential.
