DAVIDO WINS BIG AFTER CORRECTLY PREDICTING SUPER EAGLES’ AFCON OPENING VICTORY

Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has reportedly made a significant profit after accurately predicting the outcome of Nigeria’s opening match at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The DMW Records boss placed a wager on the Super Eagles’ Group C clash against Tanzania, held in Fes, Morocco, backing both teams to score in the encounter. His prediction proved correct as Nigeria recorded a 2–1 comeback victory over the Taifa Stars on Tuesday.

Tanzania had taken an early lead against the run of play, despite Nigeria’s dominance in possession. However, the Super Eagles responded strongly, drawing level before Ademola Lookman netted a late winner to seal all three points for the West African giants.

Reports indicate that Davido earned a payout of $96,564, estimated at about ₦150 million, from the successful bet.

The victory places Nigeria in a strong position in Group C as they continue their quest for a fourth AFCON title. The Super Eagles will now turn their attention to their next group fixture as they look to maintain momentum and secure qualification for the knockout stages of the tournament.
