WARREN BUFFET RESIGNS AFTER 60YEARS AS CEO OF BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY

Wolrdwidrle renowned billionaire, Warren Buffett, has officially resigned as the chief executive officer (CEO) of Berkshire Hathaway Inc.
Buffett’s resignation took effect on Wednesday, New Year’s Eve, marking the last day of his tenure after 60 years.
The billionaire, who turned Berkshire from a struggling textile manufacturer to a global conglomerate, first announced his plan to step down in his annual CEO message in November 2025.
Buffett, 95, stepped down at year’s end after six decades at the helm of Berkshire, which he grew into a massive conglomerate whose business includes insurance, utilities, rail and more. Along the way, he became a leading voice in the world of investing, doling out words of wisdom in his highly-anticipated annual letters to shareholders.
The company had earlier announced that board approved Jan. 1, 2026 for appointment of Greg Abel as CEO.
Buffett became known as “the Oracle of Omaha” and is among the most storied investors of all time. Thousands of shareholders and onlookers travel each spring to Omaha, Neb., to hear Buffett speak about business, investing and life at Berkshire’s annual meeting.
