NUPRC RAISES ALARM ON FAKE PROCUREMENT OFFERS

Agency Report
The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has cautioned the public against fraudulent individuals claiming to offer contracts on its behalf.
In a statement on Monday, Eniola Akinkuotu, Head of Corporate Communication and Media at NUPRC, said these scammers use tactics such as name-dropping and spreading false information on social media to deceive people.
Akinkuotu stressed that their sole aim is to extort money and warned them to stop such activities immediately.

He clarified that all contracts at NUPRC are processed transparently and strictly follow the Public Procurement Act, 2007, and other applicable regulations.
“Anyone engaging with third parties to gain fictitious advantages within NUPRC does so at their own risk,” he noted.
For legitimate procurement opportunities, Akinkuotu urged the public to visit the NUPRC website – www.nuprc.gov.ng – or consult local newspapers for official tender announcements.
