FCC REQUESTS ASSISTANCE FROM UAE FIRM TO BOOST SERVICE DELIVERY

The Federal Character Commission (FCC) has initiated talks with an international investment delegation to explore collaboration aimed at enhancing its digital systems and boosting service delivery.
The Executive Chairman, Motunrayo Omidiran, welcomed the delegation led by Mr. Michael Gale, Founder and Group CEO of Al Liwan Group Limited from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, at the FCC headquarters in Abuja.
Discussions centered on potential partnership models to support the commission’s digital upgrade, improve operational efficiency, and deliver better public services.
According to a statement by the FCC’s spokesman, Ademola Lawrence, Omidiran emphasized that technology is critical for effective governance. She highlighted that upgrading the commission’s digital infrastructure would enhance monitoring, ensure compliance with the Federal Character principle, and promote transparency in fulfilling its constitutional duties.

“Strengthening our digital systems will help the commission monitor activities more effectively, improve adherence to the Federal Character principle, and increase transparency in executing our mandates,” Omidiran said.
Gale praised the commission’s reform agenda, noting that institutions embracing modern digital systems are better equipped to achieve measurable outcomes. He added that the delegation was encouraged by the FCC’s vision and looked forward to exploring sustainable areas of collaboration.
The proposed partnership aligns with ongoing efforts to modernize FCC operations, enhance accountability, and leverage technology to ensure fair and equitable representation across Nigeria’s federal public service.
Since taking office, Omidiran has championed institutional reforms aimed at improving transparency, monitoring compliance, and advancing accountability, with a strong focus on digital transformation to strengthen efficiency and service delivery.
