The management of Prime Care Hospitals has denied social media claims that popular content creator Mukoro Mitchelle, widely known as King Mitchy, died at its Abuja facility.
The hospital’s clarification came after reports, reportedly shared by King Mitchy’s management, claimed she died following the alleged ingestion of a harmful substance and was rushed to the hospital.
In an official statement posted on its Instagram page on Saturday morning, the hospital management said King Mitchy was never admitted, nor did she die there.
“The management of Prime Care Hospitals wishes to inform the public that the announcement of the alleged death of Miss Mukoro Mitchelle, popularly known as King Mitchy, at our facility in Abuja is FALSE. King Mitchy was never a patient in our hospital and did not pass away here,” the statement read.
The hospital added that it is taking active steps to address the spread of the “misinformation.”
“We are working with authorities to investigate the source of this misinformation and will take all necessary legal actions against those responsible. Please verify information through our official channels before sharing,” the management said.
The controversy began about nine hours earlier when King Mitchy’s management reportedly announced her passing via her official Instagram page, sharing a video in which she allegedly consumed a bleach agent during a TikTok live stream.
The post stated, “We are deeply heartbroken to share that our beloved Michelle has passed on. Despite all efforts from the medical team here in Abuja, we were told her condition was critical, and sadly, she could not be revived. Rest in peace, Micthelle. You will never be forgotten.
“If you know Prime Hospital in Abuja, help us beg them to do something to save her. Her mother has fainted in Lagos already and has been taken to a hospital.”
The conflicting statements have caused confusion and concern among fans, and as of filing this report, King Mitchy’s death has not been independently confirmed by family members or relevant authorities.
