OPENAI SURPASSES $25BN IN ANNUALIZED REVENUE

Artificial intelligence firm OpenAI has topped $25 billion in annualized revenue as of the end of last month, The Information reported Wednesday, citing a person familiar with the numbers.

OpenAI’s annualised revenue rose about 17% from the $21.4 billion it reported at the end of last year, according to the report.

The company is also pushing deeper into the enterprise market, partnering with four of the world’s largest consulting firms as it bets that a more hands-on approach will help corporate clients move from pilot projects to full-scale AI deployments.

In the race for enterprise customers, OpenAI faces competition from rivals such as Anthropic and tech giants including Google, which are also offering artificial intelligence tools to businesses.

Since late 2022, OpenAI has grown from virtually no revenue to more than $20 billion in annualised revenue in 2025. Rival Anthropic has followed a similar path, reaching roughly $9 billion in annualised revenue.

OpenAI is aiming for about $600 billion in total computing spending by 2030 as the ChatGPT maker lays the groundwork for a potential initial public offering that could value the company at up to $1 trillion.
