EL-RUFAI LOSES MOTHER

Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, the mother of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, has passed away.
Her death was announced on Friday by her grandson via a Facebook post, where he confirmed that she died a few hours earlier.

“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. From Allah SWT we came and to Him we shall all return. I would like to inform the public of the demise of my grandmother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai,” he wrote.
He further noted that she was the biological mother of the former governor and offered prayers for the repose of her soul.
The family expressed gratitude for her life, praying that Allah grants her soul eternal rest and extends His mercy to all departed loved ones. They also appealed to the public for prayers on behalf of the family.
Further details surrounding her death were not immediately available as of the time of filing this report.
The development comes amid ongoing legal proceedings involving Nasir El-Rufai, who is currently in the custody of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission following his re-arrest after an earlier detention by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
