NPF HANDS OVER DISMISSED OFFICERS TO AGF FOR PROSECUTION OVER CONTROVERSIAL EFFURUN KILLING

The Nigeria Police Force has taken disciplinary action in the controversial Effurun killing case, handing over dismissed personnel to the Attorney General of the Federation for prosecution.
According to reports, the officers indicted in the incident have been dismissed from service, effectively terminating their careers. The decision has also been formally ratified by the Police Service Commission.
The Force said the action underscores its commitment to accountability and internal discipline, stressing that misconduct within its ranks will not be tolerated.
With the administrative process concluded, attention has now shifted to the courts, where the prosecution of the former officers is expected to commence as the case enters its judicial phase.
