Governance advocates group, Niger Without Borders, has called on Nigerians to prioritize continuity, stability, and progress in the 2027 general elections by re-electing President Bola Tinubu.

The group made the endorsement during a press briefing held on Tuesday in Abuja, where it also backed the second-term bid of Niger State Governor Mohammed Umar Bago and a third term for Senator Mohammed Sani Musa.

Speaking at the event, Comrade Hussaini Abubakar said the endorsement was based on performance, policy direction, and measurable achievements at both federal and state levels.

According to the group, President Tinubu’s economic policies—such as the removal of fuel subsidy and the unification of the foreign exchange market—have begun to produce positive outcomes. It pointed to indicators including a reduced fiscal deficit, improved growth projections, easing inflation, stronger external reserves, and increased government revenue.

While acknowledging the sacrifices involved in the reforms, the group said they have set Nigeria on a more sustainable economic path, warning that a change in direction could reverse the gains made so far.

On Niger State, the group praised Governor Bago, describing his agricultural initiatives as transformative. It said his push for mechanised farming, irrigation systems, and rural infrastructure is helping transition the state from subsistence farming to agribusiness, with broader implications for national food security.

It also commended Senator Mohammed Sani Musa for sponsoring key bills and contributing to legislative and committee work focused on employment, infrastructure protection, and institutional reforms.

Abubakar urged Nigerians to support continuity over policy disruption, stressing that consistent policy implementation is essential for national development.
