Crystal Palace will face Rayo Vallecano in the final of the 2026 UEFA Conference League after both sides completed impressive runs to Europe’s third-tier continental showpiece.
The final is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 27, at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig.
Crystal Palace secured their place in the final after defeating FC Shakhtar Donetsk 2-1 in the second leg of their semi-final clash, sealing a 5-2 aggregate victory.
The Eagles produced another strong performance in front of their home supporters, with Senegal forward Ismaila Sarr scoring the decisive goal to confirm Palace’s qualification for the final.
The Premier League side had already taken control of the tie in the first leg and successfully completed the job to book what will be one of the biggest matches in the club’s history.
Rayo Vallecano also progressed to the final following a remarkable European campaign, with the Spanish side now set for a historic showdown against the English club.
The final will mark a major milestone for both teams, as neither Crystal Palace nor Rayo Vallecano have previously won a major European trophy.
The winners of the final will lift the UEFA Conference League title and automatically qualify for next season’s UEFA Europa League.
