ERDOĞAN HOSTS OSIMHEN, GALATASARAY PLAYERS AFTER SÜPER LIG TITLE WIN

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen and his Galatasaray S.K. teammates have been hosted by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan following their triumph in the Turkish Süper Lig.
Galatasaray clinched their 26th league title this season, finishing three points ahead of rivals Fenerbahçe S.K. to extend their domestic dominance.
Osimhen played a key role in the title-winning campaign, scoring 15 league goals and providing five assists in 22 appearances. He also contributed seven goals and three assists in 10 UEFA Champions League matches before Galatasaray were eliminated by Liverpool F.C. in the round of 16.
Following the league success, the entire Galatasaray squad was received at the Presidential Complex in Ankara, where they were hosted by President Erdoğan.
The players, dressed in formal suits, were seen exchanging handshakes with the Turkish leader during the ceremony, while Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek presented the club’s jersey to him.
The reception was part of official celebrations marking the club’s domestic success, with Galatasaray now targeting further historic achievement. If they win the title again next season, they would become the first club in Turkish football history to secure five consecutive league championships.
Osimhen, who has enjoyed a successful spell in Turkey, has already won multiple trophies with Galatasaray and remains one of the club’s standout performers.
The Nigerian striker, 27, has also attracted interest from top European clubs including Chelsea, Barcelona and Bayern Munich, although Galatasaray are reportedly keen to retain his services amid ongoing transfer speculation.
