Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno: I will become Unai Emery’s first choice
Arsenal‘s Bernd Leno has insisted that he will become manager Unai Emery‘s first-choice goalkeeper, although he is yet to make an appearance for his new club.
However, the Germany international has struggled to make the starting-XI ahead of Petr Cech, who has been favoured by Emry so far for the 2018-19 Premier League season.
Despite his lack of playing time, he told German outlet Bild: “I am convinced that my change was the right decision.
“I’m not crazy. It may take a few weeks or months, but my time here will come.”
Leno could make his Arsenal debut when they face Cardiff City in the Premier League on Sunday.
