UCL: FIRMIHO EMERGES HERO ON THE NIGHT AS MESSI SCORES ATTRICK IN BARCA’S 4-0 WIN

In arguably the biggest game of the night, Liverpool forward, Firmino, scored a stoppage time goal to complete a five-goal thriller hand Liverpool their first UEFA Champions League win this season.
Roberto Firmino’s last-gasp strike gave Liverpool a 3-2 win over Paris Saint-Germain in a thrilling encounter on the opening night of the Uefa Champions League group stage on Tuesday, after Liverpool had
earlier thrown away their two goal lead.
Liverpool went two goals up in the first stanza of the game with Sturridge’s magnificient header and Milner’s penalty. PSG then pulled one back before the half hour mark. The match looked like it was going to end in tie in the second half, when PSG took advantage of Sallah’s error as Mbape equalized for the French sides, but Firmihno, who came off the bench , curled in a fantastic strike with his right foot.
Meanwhile, earlier in the day, Messi’s hat trick gave Barcelona a deserved victory against the visiting PSV in Camp Nou. Messi opened the scoring with a fantastic free kick in the 31st minute of the game.  The Spanish giant had to wait until the 74th minute before they could get their second goal as Dembele scored with an outside-eighteen-yard shot. Three minutes later Messi scored again with a Ratikic assist.
Barca’s central defender was however sent off in the 79th minute after receiving a second yellow, before Messi completed his hat trick to bury the Netherland sides.
In other results of the night, Inter beat Tottenham 2-1, Atletico thrashed Monaco 2-1 away from home,  Club Brugge were defeated 0-1 at home by Dortmund. Turkish sides, Galatasary humbled Locomotive Moscow by three goals. Schalke-Porto game ended in a 1-1 draw as Red Star Belgrade and Napoli also played ended in barren draw.
Week one matches continues today, with Ajax facing AEK Athens, Shakhtar Donetsk against Hoffenheim,Valencia versus Juve. Real Madrid will slug it out against Roma. Man City takes on Lyon, Benfica battles Bayer Munich, Young Boys plays Manchester United and Viktoria Plezen hosts CSKA Moskva.
