SUPER EAGLES BEAT SEYCHELLES 3-1

Nigeria’s Super Eagles on Friday saw off visiting Seychelles 3-1 in the 2019 African Cup of Nations, AFCON qualifiers.

The game which was played at the Stephen Keshi stadium in Asaba, Delta State saw the host go ahead in the first half, with a penalty scored by Odion Ighalo, after Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi was brought down in the 18-yard box.

Seychelles however drew level just before the end of the first 45-minutes, after Nigeria’s goal keeper, Francis Uzoho miscaculated an area ball, dropping it infront of the waiting no 8 shirt of the away team.

Henry Onyekuru made it 2-1 in the 50th minute with a header.

Subtitute, Moses Simon completed the final score line 3-1, with a brilliant close range shot.

The Nigerian team has already qualified from their Group which also has South Africa and Libya.
