Women of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Lagos State are set to stage a solidarity walk in support of the party’s 2027 presidential candidates, Atiku Abubakar and Rotimi Amaechi, in Ikeja on Thursday, November 5, 2026.
The rally, tagged “ADC Women Walk for Atiku/Amaechi,” is scheduled to commence at 8:00 am, with participants expected to converge in Ikeja, the state capital.
According to a flyer circulated by the organisers, the event will be anchored on the theme, “Unity, Progress, Hope,” alongside the slogan, “Walking Together for a Better Nigeria.”
The walk is being organised by the ADC Lagos State Women Leader, Alhaja Bolanle, who has called on party members and other interested Nigerians to participate.
The organisers stressed that the exercise was not restricted to registered party members, urging members of the public to join the solidarity walk.
The planned rally comes months after the ADC concluded its presidential primary ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party announced that Atiku emerged as its presidential candidate with 1,846,370 votes, defeating his closest challenger, former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, who secured 504,117 votes.
Amaechi subsequently accepted the position of running mate to Atiku as the party prepares for the 2027 presidential election.
