The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has paid a heartfelt tribute to his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, as she celebrated her 78th birthday on Monday.
In an emotional message titled “To My Lover, Foluke,” the revered cleric reflected on their 58 years of marriage, describing his wife as his closest friend, trusted companion and steadfast partner in life and ministry.
Adeboye said celebrating his wife had remained one of the greatest privileges of his life, expressing delight that many others could join him in honouring her on her special day.
“Today, on your 78th birthday, it is a gift to me to have the world join me in doing what I have spent 58 years doing — celebrating you,” he wrote.
The cleric praised Pastor Folu for her unwavering support throughout the years, noting that she had stood by him through every challenge, victory and divine assignment.
“Many people know you as Mummy G.O. I have the privilege of knowing you simply as my wife, my friend, and the person who has stood with me through every challenge, every victory, and every assignment God has given us,” he said.
Adeboye also commended her quiet sacrifices, compassion, wisdom and steadfast faith, saying she had consistently strengthened others even during difficult moments.
“I have watched you give strength to others even when you were tired yourself. I have seen your quiet sacrifices, your compassion, your wisdom, and your unwavering trust in God,” he added.
According to him, her devotion has positively impacted their children, the church and countless families across the world.
“Our children have been blessed because of your love. The family of God has been blessed because of your devotion. Countless homes have been strengthened because you answered God’s call with all your heart,” he said.
Reflecting on their nearly six decades together, the RCCG General Overseer described Pastor Folu as his wife, counsellor and companion in every true sense of the word.
He concluded the tribute with prayers for God’s continued blessings upon her life.
“May the God whom you have served so faithfully continue to uphold you. May He surround you with His peace, fill your days with fresh joy, strengthen your body, renew your strength, and continue to satisfy you with His goodness,” he prayed.
