Popular Nigerian singer, Abiola Akinbiyi, better known as Bella Shmurda, has alleged that he fell victim to a multi-million-dollar property scam after paying $4 million for a house in Lagos.

The singer claimed he recently discovered that the property did not belong to the individual who sold it to him, leaving him devastated over the alleged loss.

Bella Shmurda made the revelation during an emotional Instagram Live session on Tuesday, where he broke down in tears while appealing to Nigerians for help.

“Nigeria, I need your help. I’m not doing okay right now. I spent $4 million of my own hard-earned money, only to find out I bought stolen property,” he said.

According to the singer, the seller allegedly disappeared after receiving the payment, making it impossible to recover the money or resolve the transaction.

“And now the seller has disappeared. Please, help me. Someone step in. I’ve got nothing left,” he said.

“I worked for years for this. I can’t lose $4 million like that.”

Bella Shmurda added that he had engaged his lawyer to investigate the matter further.

“I just contacted my lawyer for further investigation,” he said.

The singer did not reveal the identity of the alleged seller or provide additional details about the property during the livestream.

The claims have not been independently verified, and as of the time of reporting, neither law enforcement authorities nor any individual connected to the transaction had issued an official response.
