IKEJA CHAIRMAN AKOD JOINS CAN IN PRAYERS FOR PEACE, NATIONAL PROSPERITY

The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), on Thursday joined members of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ikeja District, for their monthly prayer session held at Ikeja House.
The gathering was organised to seek divine guidance and blessings for Ikeja Local Government and the nation, with prayers offered for peace, unity, security, progress and prosperity.
Special prayers were also offered for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu; the member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke; Chairman AKOD; the executive and legislative arms of the council; the management and staff of Ikeja Local Government; as well as residents of Ikeja and Nigerians at large.

Delivering a sermon at the event, Pastor Ajayi Rotimi Olufemi urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in prayer, expressing optimism that the country would continue to enjoy God’s grace, peace and prosperity.
Speaking during the programme, Dauda commended the leadership and members of CAN, Ikeja District, for their consistent prayers for the nation and the local government.

The council chairman also encouraged residents to remain law-abiding and continue to discharge their civic responsibilities, while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to good governance and the delivery of impactful development projects across Ikeja.
The prayer session ended with renewed prayers for sustained peace, unity and prosperity in Ikeja, Lagos State and Nigeria.
