Nollywood actress Nancy Isime has shared her views on the importance of financial stability in relationships and marriage.
The movie star said she doesn’t believe that marrying a poor partner can make a woman live a fantastic life.
Speaking in a recent episode of the Tea With Tay podcast, Isime explained that financial pressure can deprived poor couples of the joy of marriage and family.
Marriage is not a poverty alleviation scheme but I don’t believe marrying a poor man can make you happy.
“When rent is due, school fees can’t be paid and there is no food in the house, it is difficult to have a fantastic life.
I am not saying there is no love without money. But love and fantastic life are not the same,” she said.
She advocated for intending couples to be financially stable to a certain extent before before getting married and raising a family.
