DELTA CP INSPECTS SECURITY FLASHPOINTS, URGES PROFESSIONALISM

The Commissioner of Police in Delta State, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, has conducted an inspection tour of major security flashpoints across the state, including Edjekota Junction, Evwreni Junction, Ohoro Junction and several stop-and-search points along the expressway.
During the visibility policing and supervisory visit on Saturday, the police chief assessed security deployments and interacted with officers and operatives stationed at the various locations.
Addressing personnel on duty, Oyeniyi urged them to remain alert, uphold professionalism and treat members of the public with courtesy and respect while carrying out their responsibilities.

He cautioned officers against acts of misconduct, harassment or any form of abuse, stressing that policing should be people-oriented and carried out in line with established human rights principles.
The commissioner also directed officers to maintain proper dressing standards, a neat appearance and conduct befitting members of the Nigeria Police Force.
While commending personnel for their efforts in maintaining security, he warned that the command would not condone actions capable of attracting public complaints or tarnishing the image of the force.
Oyeniyi reassured residents of the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property across the state and called on members of the public to continue supporting security agencies with credible and timely information.
