EFCC ARRESTS SUSPENDED CITY BOYS MOVEMENT SOUTH-WEST WOMEN LEADER, HALIMAT TEJUOSHO

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested the suspended South-West Women Leader of the City Boy Movement, Halimat Tejuosho, over alleged fraud.
EFCC spokesman, Dele Oyewale, confirmed her arrest to TheCable on Saturday, stating that Tejuosho is currently in the commission’s custody.
The development comes months after the anti-graft agency declared Tejuosho wanted in April over allegations of obtaining money under false pretences.
At the time, the EFCC identified Tejuosho as a Lagos State indigene and listed her last known address as House A26, Aso Grove Estate, Maitama Extension, Abuja.
The commission had appealed to members of the public with information about her whereabouts to report to its office or the nearest police station.
Confirming her arrest, Oyewale said, “She is in our custody.”
The EFCC is expected to continue its investigation into the allegations against her.
