EPL: Balogun Benched In Brighton’s Win Vs Everton,  Ndidi, Success Start; Iheanacho Returns

Super Eagles, Leon Balogun defender, Leon Balogun was benched for 90 minutes as Brighton & Hove Albion recorded a hard fought 1-0 home win against Everton at the Amex Stadium on Saturday.
 
Balogun started Brighton’s last four league games but was not considered for a starting berth against the Tofees with manager, Chris Hughton preferring Shane Duffy and Lewis Dunk at the heart of the defence.

The 30-year-old has featured in eight league games for the Seagulls this season, scoring only once.
 
Jurgen Locadia scored the winning goal for the home team a minute before the half hour mark.
At the King Power Stadium, Leicester suffered a shocking1-0 home loss to Cardiff City.
Nigerian duo, Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho were both in action for the Foxes.
Ndidi was on for 90 minutes in what was his 20th league appearance of the campaign. He has one goal to his name.
Iheanacho took the place of Jamie Vardy in the 68th minute.He has appeared in 18th Premier League games for Leicester City and has scored once.
Victor Camarasa netted the winner for the hosts two minutes into added time.
Frenchman Abdoulaye Doucouré scored a late equaliser as Watford held Newcastle to a 1-1 draw at the Vicarage Road Stadium.
Solomon Rondon opened scoring for the Magpies a minute before the half hour mark.
In another game, Tottenham Hotspur title bid suffered a huge setback following a 3-1 home loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Fulham beat Huddersfield 2-1 at the Craven Cottage, their first win under new manager, Claudio Ranieri.
