Former Big Brother Africa housemate, Bayo Okoh, has reportedly died.
Okoh, an economist and Nigeria’s representative in the inaugural edition of Big Brother Africa in 2003, became one of the country’s early faces on the continental reality television show. He was among the 12 housemates who participated in the first season of the programme.
His death was announced on Saturday by media personality Matilda Duncan, who shared the news on social media alongside photographs of the late reality television star.
Duncan, however, did not disclose the cause or circumstances surrounding Okoh’s death.
Reacting to the development, the media personality expressed grief over what she described as the increasing number of deaths within the entertainment industry.
Okoh’s reported passing has sparked reactions among fans and followers who remember him as one of the Nigerians who helped introduce the Big Brother reality television format to Nigerian audiences.
Further details surrounding his death, including the cause and funeral arrangements, were not immediately available at the time of reporting.
