Nigerian actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele, is set to release her latest film, Where Is Mr. Right?, on Prime Video on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
Akindele announced the release on her X handle, where she shared the film’s official poster and confirmed the premiere date.
Produced by Funke Akindele Network and directed by Tunde Olaoye, Where Is Mr. Right? features Akindele alongside Blossom Chukwujekwu, Baba Rex, Bisola Aiyeola and Omowunmi Dada.
The film will premiere on Prime Video, adding to the growing number of Nigerian productions reaching international audiences through global streaming platforms.
The release further highlights Akindele’s expanding role in Nollywood as an actress, filmmaker and producer, following her involvement in several successful film and television productions.
The August 15 premiere is expected to give the production wider exposure while showcasing Nigerian storytelling and acting talent to audiences in Nigeria and beyond.
