Celebrity chef Hilda Baci has criticised people who attribute her achievements and success to her partner, describing such comments as a reflection of society’s negative perception of women and their accomplishments.
Baci said the remarks were sometimes upsetting because they undermine the hard work and dedication women put into building their careers and achieving success independently.
Speaking in a video shared by Goldmyne TV, the chef said such comments reveal how much society still needs to change its attitude towards women and their achievements.
She said the remarks were not necessarily annoying but remained troubling because of the mindset behind them.
Baci further explained that she is deliberate about using her platform to represent women, create opportunities and encourage more women to become successful.
According to her, her commitment to representing women goes beyond personal achievements, as she also wants to inspire and empower others to realise their potential.
