Nigerian social media influencer Blessing CEO has apologised to Nigerians over her past comments and controversial actions, admitting that she regrets speaking about other people’s struggles without understanding their experiences.

The influencer broke down in tears in an emotional video shared on Tuesday, November 3, days after regaining her freedom from detention and following the death of her son, Brian.

In the video posted on her Instagram page, Blessing described herself as broken and exhausted, saying she had learnt several painful lessons from her experiences.

She expressed regret over her previous remarks, acknowledging that she had spoken about issues without fully understanding the pain of those involved.

“I’m so sorry for speaking about the pain I’ve never felt. I’m realising that talk is cheap. Action speaks louder than voice,” she said.

Her apology comes amid renewed criticism of her past controversial statements, particularly her comments during the domestic violence dispute involving the late Bimbo Ogbonna and her husband, IVD, as well as her repeated criticism of May Edochie during her marital crisis.

Blessing also faced widespread backlash in 2026 after claiming she had stage four breast cancer and soliciting financial donations from the public.

The fundraising appeal generated controversy after questions emerged over the medical report she presented. She later clarified that she did not have a confirmed stage four cancer diagnosis.

In the emotional video, the influencer also spoke about her late son, whom she affectionately called “Doom Doom”, expressing how much she missed him and promising to make amends for her past mistakes.

“I miss you, Brian. I miss you so much, and I promise to correct every wrong,” she said.

She further revealed that her mother had been struggling to cope with the loss, disclosing that they sometimes avoided each other so they could cry privately.

Describing her apology as an attempt to retrace her steps, Blessing compared herself to the biblical prodigal son, saying she was ready to return home and begin again.

“I’m not ashamed of coming back home. I just want to find my way back,” she added.
