The Independent National Electoral Commission has commenced the uploading of results from Saturday’s Osun State governorship election to its Result Viewing Portal, IReV.
Checks on the commission’s portal as of 4:03 p.m. showed that results from 402 of the 3,763 polling units had been uploaded, representing 10.68 per cent of the total polling units in the state.
Data on the IReV portal indicated that the latest upload, recorded at 4:03:10 p.m., came from polling unit 29/02/04/006 as collation continued across the state’s 30 local government areas.
The election is being closely monitored by voters and observers through the IReV platform, which enables polling unit-level results to be viewed online as they are uploaded.
Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party is seeking re-election against the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, African Democratic Congress candidate, Najeem Salaam, and other contestants.
The Result Stats section of the portal continued to update as fresh results were uploaded, allowing users to refresh the page for the latest figures.
With only a fraction of the polling unit results uploaded as of press time, further updates are expected as collation progresses at the ward and local government levels.
