INEC BEGINS SORTING, COUNTING OF VOTES AFTER OSUN GOVERNORSHIP POLL

Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission have commenced the sorting and counting of votes at polling units across Osun State following the conclusion of voting in Saturday’s governorship election.
The process began shortly after the close of voting, with INEC officials sorting the ballot papers and counting votes cast for the various candidates.
The results are expected to be recorded on the appropriate result sheets before being announced at the respective polling units.
The completed results will subsequently be transmitted in accordance with the commission’s electoral guidelines as the process moves to the collation stage.
