I sincerely apologize to Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, her family, the Office of the First Lady, and to all Nigerians.
Earlier today, I posted content on my page that attributed a false and defamatory statement to the First Lady. After verifying, I have confirmed that the quote is completely fabricated and she never made such remarks.
I take full responsibility for sharing information without confirming its truth. By doing this, I contributed to the spread of misinformation, disrespected the office of the First Lady, and caused embarrassment to Her Excellency and her loved ones.
That was not my intention, but intent does not excuse impact. I am truly sorry.
I have deleted the post and I am using this medium to retract the false statement. I will be more careful going forward to verify any information before I post, especially when it concerns public figures.
Once again, I am deeply sorry to Senator Oluremi Tinubu, her family, and everyone who was hurt or misled by my post.
