Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi scored the decisive goal as Fulham defeated Ipswich Town 1-0 on Saturday to record their first league victory of the season.
The Cottagers, who had struggled to find their footing in the league, secured all three points following a determined performance at Craven Cottage.
Fulham went into the encounter looking to turn their fortunes around after a difficult start to the campaign.
Following a sustained period of pressure, Iwobi broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute, firing the hosts into the lead.
The Nigerian international’s strike ultimately proved to be the difference between both sides, as Fulham held on to their advantage until the final whistle to claim maximum points against newly promoted Ipswich Town.
The victory provides a much-needed boost for Fulham as they seek to improve their position in the league standings.
Fulham will next face Coventry City away from home as they look to build on their latest result.
