OFFICE FIRE CONTROVERSY: IYABO OJO’S DAUGHTER MAKES SHOCKING CLAIM

Priscilla, the daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, has claimed that the fire which destroyed her mother’s Lagos office on Tuesday was a deliberate attack, possibly connected to a threat letter the family received weeks earlier during her wedding festivities in Tanzania.
In a video posted on her Instagram page, Ojo showed damage caused by the incident—charred furniture, smoke-stained walls, and debris littered across the office staircase and hallway.
This just happened today, the 8th of July 2025, around 7 pm. My office building caught fire, she wrote.
She expressed gratitude that no lives were lost and extended her appreciation to the Nigerian Fire Service and her staff for their prompt response in helping to save what they could.
“Thankfully, no lives were lost. The devil tried us today, but God intervened. With God by my side, we will come back stronger and greater,” the actress said.

Although the cause of the fire remains unclear, Priscilla suggested it might not have been accidental.
Priscilla, who recently tied the knot with Tanzanian singer Juma Jux in a grand multi-day celebration dubbed JP2025, alleged via her Instagram Story that the letter was a direct threat to her family and a deliberate attempt to disrupt their marriage.
The typed letter, signed by an anonymous entity calling itself the ‘Aggrieved Group,’ warned of an imminent attack and claimed the family was under surveillance.
