Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has criticised the Minister of Power over Nigeria’s persistent electricity crisis, questioning the government’s explanation for the country’s unreliable power supply.

In a video shared on her official Instagram page, the actress expressed frustration over the poor electricity supply, challenging the minister to disclose the identities of Nigerians who allegedly complained that constant electricity was affecting items stored in their freezers.

Reacting to the minister’s reported claim that some Nigerians had requested reduced power supply because their freezers were freezing their stored items, Henshaw questioned the reasoning behind the explanation.

She demanded the names and contact details of those allegedly responsible for the complaints, describing the situation as unacceptable.

The actress further lamented that Nigerians were still battling unreliable electricity in 2026, noting that power sometimes lasts barely five minutes before going off.

According to her, the situation has forced many households to operate like factories, relying on generators and solar energy to carry out basic daily activities.

Henshaw also questioned why the country had continued to struggle with inadequate electricity despite years of promises to address the problem.

She expressed concern over the rising cost of living and intense heat, asking why Nigerians should endure additional hardship due to the persistent power crisis.

In the caption accompanying the video, the actress expressed her anger, writing:

“In the words of General Agnes in Ghana, ‘to hell with all of you.’ What kind of wickedness is this that you people are doing??

With the high cost of everything already, with this blazing hot sun outside?? Wetin naaaaa???!!!”
