KEFAS WINS TARABA APC GOVERNORSHIP PRIMARY IN LANDSLIDE VICTORY

Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress governorship primary election conducted in the state ahead of the forthcoming poll.

Kefas secured 166,357 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Mu’azu Jaji, who polled 4,110 votes.

Speaking shortly after he was declared winner on Friday, the governor described the exercise as a triumph for democracy and called on party members and supporters to unite for the progress of the state.

“The contest is now over. The time has come for unity and collective action toward the continued development of our state,” he said.

Kefas expressed appreciation to the leadership of the APC at all levels for what he described as their support and confidence in his administration.

He also thanked the people of Taraba State for their continued trust and cooperation, assuring them of his commitment to good governance.

The governor reaffirmed his determination to provide leadership anchored on fairness, humility and dedication to the welfare and progress of the people.

He pledged to build on the achievements recorded by his administration and sustain policies and programmes aimed at improving the lives of residents across the state.
