MAYORESS SAMIAT BADA COMMEMORATES FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF SECOND TERM WITH NEW PUBLIC PROJECTS

The Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has announced a series of developmental projects and public service initiatives to commemorate the first anniversary of the second term in office of its Executive Chairman, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada.
The anniversary is being celebrated under the theme “One Year of Purposeful Leadership,” highlighting the administration’s achievements over the past year.
As part of the anniversary activities, the council is set to commission eight newly constructed roads complete with drainage systems and solar-powered street lights, a move aimed at improving road connectivity, enhancing public safety, and addressing flooding challenges within the LCDA.
The council also announced the commissioning of a Fire Station, which is expected to strengthen emergency response services and improve public safety across the community.
Other projects slated for inauguration include a Mini Waste Transfer Station, designed to improve environmental sanitation and waste management, and a Public Toilet Facility to promote hygiene and provide essential public amenities for residents.
In a bid to enhance staff welfare and operational efficiency, the administration will also commission a new staff canteen and unveil a new coaster bus to complement the council’s existing staff transportation system.
The anniversary programme further includes the distribution of official vehicles to members of the legislative and executive arms, as well as management staff, to improve administrative operations and service delivery.
Additionally, utility buses will be presented to key community stakeholders, including the Iyaloja General, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), and the League of Imams in Ikosi-Isheri LCDA as part of efforts to strengthen community engagement and support institutional partnerships.
The programme will also feature the induction of additional task force officers, a step aimed at reinforcing the council’s capacity to maintain order and improve enforcement of local regulations.
Some of the completed projects, including newly paved roads, council facilities, official vehicles, and the newly acquired coaster bus, reflecting the administration’s emphasis on infrastructure development and public service delivery.
The anniversary celebration serves as an opportunity for the council to highlight its accomplishments over the past year while reaffirming its commitment to sustainable development, improved governance, and enhanced service delivery for residents of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA.
