OSUN POLL: JUBILATION AS ADELEKE WINS POLLING UNIT WITH 421 VOTES

Supporters of Osun State Governor and Accord Party governorship candidate, Ademola Adeleke, were seen celebrating after the announcement of an early result at a polling unit in the ongoing governorship election.
The celebration came as sorting, counting and collation of votes continued across the state following the conclusion of voting in several polling units.
Adeleke had earlier expressed confidence in victory after casting his ballot at Sagba Abogunde Ward 2, Unit 9, in Ede North Local Government Area.
The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, also expressed optimism about emerging victorious after voting at Ward 09, Unit 011, in Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area.
Meanwhile, the African Democratic Congress candidate, Najeem Salaam, had raised concerns over the alleged non-recognition of some of his party agents in several parts of the state.
As of 5:24 p.m. on Saturday, checks on the Independent National Electoral Commission’s Result Viewing Portal showed that 1,386 out of the 3,763 polling unit results had been uploaded.
The figures are expected to increase as presiding officers complete the uploading of results and the official collation process progresses at ward, local government and state levels.
The results currently appearing on the IReV portal remain provisional, with the final winner to be determined by INEC after the completion of the statutory collation process.
