The Oyo State Government on Monday demolished a three-bedroom bungalow allegedly used as a hideout by kidnappers linked to the abduction of the younger sister of former Minister of Power, Chief Bayo Adelabu, and her children.

The property, situated in the Lako Community along the Aiyegun-Anaye Road axis of Ibadan, was demolished by officials of the Oyo State Ministry of Public Works and Transportation, with security provided by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force.

The action followed investigations into the kidnapping of Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, who were abducted at Elewura in the Challenge area of Ibadan on June 3, 2026.

Prior to the demolition, government officials and security operatives inspected the property as part of ongoing efforts to combat kidnapping and other criminal activities in the state.

The state government said the exercise underscores its commitment to tackling insecurity and dismantling criminal networks operating within Oyo State.

According to the government, the demolished bungalow served as a hideout for suspects connected to the abduction of the victims.
