PANTAMI ALLEGES PLOT TO FRUSTRATE DIRECT PRIMARIES

Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami has alleged attempts to interfere with what he described as a free and credible direct primary process involving him.
In a statement issued by Professor Suleiman Mohammed on behalf of the Pantami Movement, concerns were raised over alleged political pressure and sponsored activities ahead of the primaries.
“We anticipate sponsored petitions and media briefings from individuals who are uncomfortable with free, fair, and transparent direct primaries involving Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami,” the statement said.
Pantami also alleged that some individuals who were reportedly approached and offered money to support certain actions rejected the inducement and exposed the alleged plot.
“Some of those contacted and financially induced declined the offer and revealed the agenda,” he stated.
Referring to a recent television appearance, he added: “The TVC interview conducted yesterday addressed the relevant issues.”
He further urged his supporters to remain calm, peaceful, and prayerful regardless of the situation.
