SANWO-OLU MOURNS WITH GAC MEMBER, CARDINAL ODUMBAKU, OVER WIFE’S DEATH

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has expressed his condolences to Governance Advisory Council (GAC) member and All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart, Cardinal James Odumbaku, following the death of his wife, Mother Celestial Olasinmi Akindele Odumbaku.
In a condolence message issued on Wednesday through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, the governor conveyed his sympathy to Cardinal Odumbaku, widely known as “Baba Eto,” and the bereaved family.
Sanwo-Olu also extended his condolences to leaders and members of the Celestial Church of Christ, particularly the parish where the late Mother Celestial worshipped, as well as her friends, associates, and loved ones.
The governor urged those close to the deceased to preserve her legacy and uphold the values she embodied throughout her lifetime.
He described Mother Celestial Olasinmi Akindele Odumbaku as a woman who lived a meaningful life dedicated to the service of God and humanity, noting that she was a supportive partner to Cardinal James Odumbaku.
According to the governor, her passing is a significant loss not only to her family but also to the Christian community and all who were touched by her life and service.
Sanwo-Olu further praised her contributions as a former Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development in Ondo State, where she championed initiatives aimed at empowering women and young people.
He prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and asked God to grant Cardinal Odumbaku, the family, and members of the church the strength to cope with the loss.
