The campaign attracted party members, community leaders, political stakeholders and supporters, while PDP candidates seeking seats in the National Assembly and Kogi State House of Assembly also participated.
Akpoti-Uduaghan, who was accompanied by her husband, Emmanuel Uduaghan, and other political associates, used the engagements to reiterate her commitment to effective representation, constituency development and legislative advocacy.
She maintained that her relationship with the people of Kogi Central extended beyond election periods, describing their continued support as a major source of motivation for her public service.
The senator expressed appreciation to residents who turned out for the campaign, saying their presence reflected the longstanding relationship she had built with the constituents.
She also promised to intensify efforts to attract infrastructure, economic opportunities and development projects to the district, particularly Ajaokuta, which she said required sustained attention.
Akpoti-Uduaghan emphasised that effective representation involved more than occupying public office, noting that it required consistent engagement with constituents, responsiveness to their concerns and purposeful legislative interventions.
PDP candidates for the House of Representatives seats representing Adavi/Okehi, Ajaokuta and Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituencies were among those who participated in the campaign.
The party’s candidates for various Kogi State House of Assembly constituencies in Kogi Central also joined the exercise, providing an opportunity to strengthen cooperation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to the statement, thousands of supporters converged on the senator’s residence in Ihima, with many remaining at the venue until late into the night.
Kogi Central Senatorial District comprises five local government areas: Adavi, Ajaokuta, Okehi, Okene and Ogori-Magongo.
