SUPER EAGLES STEP UP PREPARATIONS FOR MADAGASCAR AFCON CLASH

The Super Eagles held their first training session on Tuesday night as they stepped up preparations for Friday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying Matchday 1 clash against Madagascar’s Barea, Media reports.
Twenty-three players participated in the session at the practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
The training was partially open to the media and members of the public, with only the first 15 minutes made accessible.
Captain Wilfred Ndidi, goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali and winger Samuel Chukwueze arrived in camp a few hours before the team commenced training.
Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye is expected to join the squad at their Four Points by Sheraton Hotel base in Ikot Ekpene on Wednesday.
The Super Eagles will continue their preparations with another training session on Wednesday ahead of Friday’s encounter.
