President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, on his 61st birthday, describing him as a “Renaissance governor” who has brought positive changes to the state.

Tinubu, in a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, praised Lawal as he marked his birthday on September 2.

The President commended the governor’s infrastructure and urban renewal initiatives, as well as his efforts to promote industrialisation in Zamfara.

Tinubu also applauded Lawal for extending his administration’s focus beyond physical infrastructure to other critical sectors, including education and healthcare.

According to the statement, Lawal’s administration has rehabilitated more than 800 schools, recruited over 2,000 teachers, upgraded hospitals and supplied medical equipment and other healthcare materials across the state.

The President described the governor’s multi-sectoral approach to governance as essential to achieving comprehensive development, particularly in the area of human capital development.

Tinubu said Lawal’s efforts were contributing to the transformation of Zamfara and strengthening the state’s development prospects.

“As the governor celebrates this occasion, the President joins family, friends, and the good people of Zamfara to wish him good health and renewed strength as he continues to serve the state and the nation,” the statement added.
