Ten members of the Ondo For Tinubu 2027 Movement in Akoko North-West Local Government Area of Ondo State got N10 million from a local benefactor named Dr Olorunobi Olalere.
The people who received the money are part of the group in Ward 3, and each of them got N1 million, according to a statement made by the ward coordinator, Akoni Aliu on Monday.
Aliu said that Olalere, who is from Okeagbe, gave the money to help support the group and its activities as they prepare for the 2027 presidential election.
Olalere works as an engineer and researcher and has experience in the oil and gas industry. He is also well–known for supporting community projects in his hometown.
Aliu said the movement was working across the 203 political wards in Ondo State to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.
“The group is under the leadership of the governor. But one of our sons in Okeagbe, Dr Olorunobi Olalere, has empowered 10 members of the group with N1 million, totalling N10 million for the 10 beneficiaries,” Aliu said.
The coordinator said the financial support was intended to assist the beneficiaries while strengthening the group’s activities at the grassroots ahead of the general election.
Aliu also called the donation a showing of Olalere’s support for helping local communities and backing the people in the movement.
The Ondo For Tinubu 2027 Movement is a political group that is working to get Tinubu elected again in the state.
