TINUBU TAKES THREE-WEEK BREAK AFTER MONTHS OF INTENSE GOVERNANCE — PRESIDENCY

The Presidency has explained that President Bola Tinubu embarked on a three-week vacation to rest and “refuel” after months of intensive engagement in the affairs of the country.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, disclosed this while addressing journalists on Sunday.
Dare said Tinubu had spent the past six to seven months handling critical national issues, particularly matters concerning security, the economy and other aspects of governance.
According to him, the President’s administration had taken major decisions during the period, resulting in what he described as significant changes in the country.
“The President has had several months six, seven months of being engaged with state matters. We’ve seen monumental changes, monumental decisions taken with our security, with our economy and so many other things as pertains to the running of the affairs of this country,” Dare said.
The presidential aide noted that the political campaign season for the 2027 elections had also commenced, with several months of intense political activities expected ahead.
He stressed that governance would continue despite the political activities.
“And at this point, the campaign season has just started. We have four, five months of serious campaigning. Of course, governance will still continue,” he said.
Dare explained that the President’s vacation was necessary to enable him to rest and prepare for the demanding campaign season, adding that Tinubu would continue to remain engaged with government affairs while abroad.
President Tinubu commenced his three-week annual vacation on Sunday.
