Uzoho: I Want To Keep Improving

Nigeria goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho is determined to keep improving despite his
sudden rise to stardom at club and international level.
Uzoho earned a place in Nigeria’s squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia despite failing to play a single game in the qualifiers.

The young goalkeeper was in goal in the West Africans three games at the mundial despite his lack of experience.

He secured a loan move to Spanish Segunda outfit, Elche from top flight side, Deportivo La Coruna in the summer.
After initially struggling to displace veteran goalkeeper and rival, Jose Juan, Uzoho has been restored as Elche ‘ s number one goalie.
“I’m young, I want to continue improving in everything and help the team to win,”Uzoho stated in his interaction with the media on Friday ahead of Elche ‘ s Segunda clash against Rayo Majadahonda on Sunday.
“I do not have a competition with José Juan, I learn every day from him because he has many years in professional football and he has a lot of experience”.
The 20-year-old made a remarkable comeback from injury after a month out last Sunday against Sporting Gijon keeping a clean sheet in the 0-0 draw.
It was his third clean sheet in four La Liga Segunda games for Elche though he has conceded five league goals in the Spanish second-tier division.
Uzoho missed Elche’s last four games after suffering a concussion a month ago and two international games for the Super Eagles against South Africa in a 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations qualifiers and Uganda in a friendly.
