YUSUF DANBATTA DUMPS PDP FOR APC IN KANO

The 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Deputy Governorship Candidate in Kano, Dr. Yusuf Bello Danbatta, has officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement released to journalists, Danbatta confirmed his resignation from the PDP and his decision to join the APC, saying the move followed extensive consultations with political associates, stakeholders, and supporters, as well as a commitment to contributing more meaningfully to the development of Kano State and Nigeria.
He explained that his decision came after careful reflection and wide engagement with key political actors, adding that the APC provides a more effective platform to advance the interests of the people and promote good governance.
Danbatta also praised the leadership and developmental direction of the Kano State Government under Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, describing its “Kano First Agenda” as a transformative policy framework focused on infrastructure, human capital development, and overall state progress.
He reaffirmed his dedication to public service and pledged to continue working for unity, stability, and development irrespective of political affiliation.
He further urged his supporters and allies to back initiatives aimed at advancing the growth and progress of Kano State.
