Kano Pillars sign player from Norwegian club, 4 others
Kano Pillars Football Club has signed five new players ahead of the 2015/2016 Nigeria Premier Football League season, its media officer, Idris Malikawa, said on Wednesday.
The media officer told NAN in Kano that the players have arrived Kano, noting that, one of their signing is a player from the Norwegian league.
He said that the quality of the players signed would help the club bounce back.
According to him they are “young and experienced”.
“By securing the services of such talented stars, the club will certainly hit the ground running when the league campaign kicks off next month,” he said.
The signed players are Sadik Yusif from the Norwegian league (club not specified), Jonathan Zekeye and Tijani Adamu from Dolphins FC of Port Harcourt .
Others are Pius Ibrahim and Manir Ubale from Nasarawa United.
NAN recalls that Kano Pillars sacked 10 players based on poor performance last week.
The team finished seventh in the NPFL last season and also ended the season without a trophy or continental ticket.
