Jurgen Klopp has animated discussion with Virgil van Dijk on the pitch after Chelsea draw

Jurgen Klopp had another animated on-pitch discussion after Liverpool’s last-gasp draw against Chelsea, though this time Virgil van Dijk – not Xherdan Shaqiri – was on the receiving end.
The German made a beeline for Shaqiri after Wednesday’s Carabao Cup defeat to the Blues to admonish him for wasting a free-kick opportunity in the dying seconds of the match.
‘[Klopp] was not intense or shouting something,’ said the Swiss playmaker afterwards. ‘It was just a tactical thing, like something off the free-kick we should do better.’
And Klopp had a very similar chat after Saturday’s rematch at Stamford Bridge, passionately discussing an issue with Van Dijk as they walked off the pitch.
Klopp high-fived many of his players as they saluted the travelling fans, and gave goalscorer Daniel Sturridge a big hug, but Van Dijk received a lengthy tactical debrief.
