SENATORIAL ELECTION: AMOSUN,MELAYE WINS, AJIMOBI STRUGGLING

Having polled 88, 110 votes, Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun of the All Progressives Congress, APC has won the Ogun Central Senatorial seat, defeating the People’s Democratic Party, PDP candidate, Solomon Sanyaolu who got 33, 276 votes.
Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye of the PDP had retained his seat after defeating Smart APC’s Smart Adeyemi
Melaye polled 85, 395 votes as against Adeyemi’s 66,901.
Meanwhile, things are no looking good for the current Governor of Oyo State, Ajimobi as he has currently lost 7 out of 9 Local Governments whose results have been collated already.
However, out of the 3 LGAs left, Ibadan south west and Ibadan north appeared to be Ajimobi’s zones.
